Construction Geometry

Construction geometry remains in the sketch as reference geometry, but it does not create closed profile regions on its own.

Use construction geometry for layout, alignment, centerlines, symmetry axes, and dimension references that should guide the sketch without becoming part of the modeled boundary.

Profile geometry, by contrast, participates in closed sketch regions and can define material that will later be extruded, revolved, or otherwise used by downstream features.
