Revertible AI Changes

Zookeeper is built for iteration. You can ask it to explore a design direction, update a project, create supporting files, or remove geometry, then use undo and redo to move through those changes alongside your manual KCL edits.

This makes AI-assisted modeling easier to trust. Instead of manually tracking every file Zookeeper changed, you can compare the generated result against the previous design state and redo the change if the new direction is better.

What undo and redo cover

AI changes are recorded in your design history after Zookeeper finishes applying them. You can use undo and redo for:

  • Single-file edits.
  • Project-level edits that touch multiple KCL files.
  • Files Zookeeper creates.
  • Files Zookeeper deletes.
  • Longer-running requests that update the project over time.

How history steps work

When Zookeeper changes multiple files in one request, Zoo Design Studio records the completed request as one history step. Undo moves the project back to the previous state. Redo reapplies the Zookeeper change.

Manual edits remain separate history steps. For example, you can edit KCL by hand, ask Zookeeper to update the model, make another manual edit, then undo and redo through those changes in order.

Wait for Zookeeper to finish applying the current edit before using undo or redo.
