FortForge is a 3D-printable connector system that turns standard 3/4 inch wooden dowels into customizable light-duty play structures for kids ages 6 to 12. The kit includes a family of connectors for building forts, reading nooks, puppet theaters, signs, play frames, and imagination spaces. The system uses matching dowel sockets across each part so builders can mix and match straight connectors, corner connectors, tee connectors, cross connectors, base connectors, roof hub pieces, and blanket clips. This project is designed around simple, printable parts that encourage creative building, problem solving, and hands-on STEM play. The connectors are intended for lightweight imaginative structures only and are not designed for climbing or body-weight support. The goal of FortForge is to create an open-ended building platform that kids, parents, teachers, and makers can remix into new accessories, connectors, and play ideas.
